DPA d:fine Slim, Omni Headset Mic, Beige, 110 mm Boom, MicroDot

DPA d:fine Slim, Omni Headset Mic, Beige, 110 mm Boom, MicroDotStaying true to the DPA legacy, the d:fine Slim Omnidirectional Headset Microphone offers accurate, natural voice intelligibility along with its very high SPL capabilities. You can both speak and sing into the mic with no hint of distortion. The d:fine Slim Omnidirectional Headset Microphone is head and shoulders above the competition. With low noise and high sensitivity, the d:fine Slim Omnidirectional Headset Microphone delivers the clearest, most transparent sound available on the headset market. This condenser mic handles up to 144 dB peak before clipping. Due to the mic’s exquisite linear response, low distortion and broad dynamic range, it sounds great no matter what the application. The d:fine Slim Omnidirectional Headset Microphone is sensitive to sound from all directions making the positioning of the headset less critical and can be done by untrained personnel. It is truly a plug-and-play solution for any situation. The microphone boom is available in three lengths, the shorter one to keep out of sight and for handling extremely loud voices. As with other omnidirectional mics, the d:fine Slim Omnidirectional Headset Microphone is generally not sensitive to wind, breathing or handling noise. Nevertheless, intensive protection against pop and wind noise is integrated in the microphone design. Windscreens, a capsule protection cap, a cable clip (to anchor the cable to your clothing) and a color-coded cable clip (offering easy recognition of a specific headset among many) are included. The adapters for wireless systems give you flexible, simple and affordable possibilities. You are no longer bound to one wireless system. As circumstances change, you can just switch your adapter, instead of incurring the cost of a whole new microphone. And when you make the switch, you won’t hear any loss or change in sound quality. The d:fine, d:screet and d:vote series of miniature microphones work with all leading wireless mic solutions, such as Lectrosonics, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Wisycom, Zaxcom and many more. DPA Microphones’ ingenious adapter system is one of a kind in the industry. Warm Audio WA-87

Warm Audio WA-87The classic ’87 is arguably the most widely-used large diaphragm condenser microphone in pop recording history. Rather than base our WA-87 circuit on current incarnations of this mic, company decided to closely follow the early circuit designs that date back nearly half a century. As is true with many classic microphones, engineers who have worked with different versions of these microphones often prefer the warmer, more forgiving nature of the earlier commercially available models. The desire to re-introduce the warm tone of this classic mic at an affordable price to an all new generation of recording artists was the inspiration behind the WA-87. The WA-87 features all discrete, premium components such as Fairchild FETs, tantalum, polystyrene, and WIMA film capacitors, and is rounded off with a Cinemag USA output transformer. The WA-87 proudly uses company´s own Lens Kondensator custom reproduction of the classic K-87 dual backplate/dual diaphragm capsule, as found in early ’87 mics. The importance of a good microphone cannot be overstated; but unfortunately, finding a truly great microphone within a budget has always been a challenge for aspiring engineers. There are very usable microphones available for those on a budget; but top shelf, classic studio microphones have simply been out of reach for most people. We applied all that we know about bridging this barrier into crafting a microphone that reaches the level of quality and sonics mostly found only in top shelf products, yet sells for a price that is down to earth.
